
Lauderdale County, in partnership with planning consultant A2H, Inc., invites residents to participate in the development of a Parks & Recreation Systemwide Plan. This comprehensive planning effort will help guide future investments, improvements, and recreational opportunities throughout Lauderdale County for years to come.
Community input is a critical part of the process. Residents, stakeholders, and anyone interested in the future of parks and recreation are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming public input meetings and share their ideas, priorities, and vision for enhancing quality of life across the county.

The feedback collected will help shape a long-term roadmap for parks, trails, recreational facilities, and community spaces throughout Lauderdale County and its municipalities.
Lauderdale County Government has called a Special Called Meeting of the Lauderdale County Commission for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the County Courthouse Courtroom in Ripley. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a request to apply for a $750,000 Three-Star Grant and to consider a resolution authorizing an application for a $90,000 USDA Rural Business Development Grant. Both funding opportunities are intended to support economic and community development initiatives within Lauderdale County. The meeting is open to the public, and all interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
Lauderdale County Government announces that the Lauderdale County Budget Committee will begin meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Highway Department, unless otherwise advertised. These meetings are scheduled to review the 2025–2026 budget year forecast and to consider the proposed 2026–2027 budget request. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and engaged as the county works through the budgeting process for the upcoming fiscal year.
